NEW DELHI: Pakistan fast bowler Muhammad Asif was cleared from charges of carrying insufficient traveling documents and has been released from custody of airport immigration authorities in New Delhi, said PCB sources.
Earlier he was taken into custody here at New Delhi airport for interrogation, Indian media reported. He was alleged of not carrying proper documents for traveling, an Indian TV channel said.
Following the schedule he would likely to meet Chief Executive Delhi Daredevil team in Delhi tomorrow.
PCB sources denied Indian media reports accusing Muhammad Asif of not carrying proper traveling documents which led to his custody by immigration authorities at New Delhi airport. However sources said he was held for routine interrogation after which he received clearance.
