DOHA: Britain’s Andy Murray keeping up his winning spree carved out a place for himself in the ongoing Qatar Open Tennis Tournament final here.
He defeated world number two Roger Federer in the semi-final and once again proved his supremacy. Murray and Federer match as expected was highly thrilling, as the former world number one in the first set after the tiebreak had won the set 7-6, but Murray in the next two sets playing powerful shots soon overpowered his robust opponent scoring 6-2, 6-2 and qualified for the final.
Andy Murray in the title match would be facing US Andy Roderick, who in his semi-final defeated France’s Giles Monfils by 7-6, 3-6 and 6-3.
