POA executive committee meeting tomorrow

LAHORE: The meeting of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) executive committee will be held in Lahore tomorrow.

In the meeting, performance of national contingents in the international events will be reviewed and many other matters including events to be held in the new year will be discussed.

This important meeting to be held at the WAPDA Sports Complex will be presided over by POA president Lt Gen (retired) Syed Arif Hasan.

An eight-point agenda of the meeting includes review of the performance of the national contingents in international events during 2008, discussion of the national level of the federations, calendar of 2009, budget, approval of the teams for playing in the first Youth Asian Games, the Asian Marshal Arts Games, the South Asian Games and the Islamic Solidarity Games, and the affiliation of the Pakistan Rugby Union with the POA and various other matters.
