Obama's waxwork unveiled in New York

NEW YORK: US President-elect Barack Obama has had his waxwork likeness inaugurated into Madame Tussauds in New York.

Obama is the first person to be immortalised in wax by all eight of Madame Tussauds locations at the same time.

Mr Obama's wax likeness has standing in a recreation of the White House's Oval office.

The office is complete with the Resolute desk and the carpet embossed with the presidential seal of office.

Mr Obama is depicted smiling in a relaxed and informal pose with his arms crossed in front of him.
